STRANGE things keep happening to Jon Wickes ever since he had a brush with death more than 20 years ago. But his latest trip to a medieval castle in the United Kingdom ended up being his oddest experience yet.
Mr Wickes, 50, was taking photograph of Eynsford Castle in Kent with his 12-year-old son Harry when he captured what he says was a mysterious figure in the background.
He claims there was nobody around when he took the picture.

“I was quite surprised when I first saw the picture,” Mr Wickes said. “I saw the image with the figure in it and looked on the web. That’s when I read about a monk being seen in area.”
Legend has it that a black monk was sighted in the area and, eerily, in 1130 William de Eynsford, who held the castle, retired to become a monk.
